Rules and regulations

Prabal provides short- and long-term rehabilitation and care for individuals dealing with mental health challenges and addiction to alcohol or drugs. The following rules ensure a safe and structured environment for all residents and their families.

1. Admission and Agreement

  • Upon admission, the resident and their family agree to abide by all rules and policies of Prabal.
  • Prabal is a treatment and rehabilitation facility focused on recovery, residential care, and support only.

2. Responsibility for Property & Conduct

  • Parents/Guardians are liable for any damage caused by the resident to Prabal’s property or harm to other residents or staff.
  • During their stay, residents must participate in all scheduled rehabilitation programs. Restricted items include:
    • Alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, and any form of contraband.
    • Valuables, cash, mobile phones, watches, and laptops.

3. Communication & Visits

  • Families may call the resident or counselor between 4 pm and 7 pm on designated days.
  • Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 7 pm on weekdays (excluding Saturday and Sunday evenings). Visits after 7:30 pm are not permitted.
  • All food items brought by visitors must be checked by Prabal staff; tobacco and tips for staff are prohibited.

4. Outings & Liability

  • Residents may participate in supervised outings, such as walks, shopping, medical visits, or other rehabilitative activities.
  • Prabal is not liable for incidents occurring during these outings or for pre-existing or subsequent legal liabilities involving the resident.

5. Safety & Responsibility

  • Prabal is not responsible for any personal items left with the resident.
  • Any attempts at self-harm or escape by the resident are beyond Prabal’s control; police and family will be notified if necessary, and discharge may be issued if the resident escapes.

6. Accommodation

  • Accommodation (shared or single) is assigned based on the resident’s medical needs. Adjustments may occur if warranted by changes in health, with additional fees applicable if moving to a single room.

7. Health & Emergency Services

  • Medical services and prescriptions are provided as needed; additional fees for specialist consultations or urgent care will be included in the monthly bill.
  • In emergencies, the resident will be taken to the nearest hospital, with costs to be covered by the family.

8. Financial Terms

  • A deposit of Rs. 10,000 is required on admission, with additional deposits as needed. For package plans, the total amount must be paid upfront.
  • Monthly fees and caretaking charges must be paid on time; delays incur a fine of Rs. 250 per day.
  • Annual fee increases of 15% apply for ongoing rehab programs.

9. Discharge Policies

  • Prabal reserves the right to discharge a resident upon completion of their program or if the family does not cooperate with the treatment team.
  • The facility also retains the right to modify any rules as necessary for effective management without prior notice.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising from this agreement are subject to jurisdiction in Lucknow.
